About Us
Don Beyer Sr., a retired U. S. Army Colonel, founded Don Beyer Volvo in 1973. His philosophy of doing business was to take excellent care of each and every service and parts customer and new and used car sales would flow from it.
34 years and 30,000 plus Volvo sales later, his approach to business continues to make Don Beyer Volvo a great place to buy & service your Volvo. Don Beyer Volvo is a family business in its truest sense. Brother's Don and Mike bought the business from their father in 1986. Today the number of family members working in the business stands at eleven. That includes brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, sons, and daughters. This isn't nepotism, but it is a passion in the family to carry on what Don Beyer Sr. started - a business that is more about serving people and building relationships than it is about selling cars. We opened our Alexandria location in May 1999 and call it our Route Fun store due to its location on Route 1 and because we have so much fun taking care of our Volvo customers. Our goal is to make your Volvo buying experience one that is hassle free and ensures that you are completely satisfied.
